Petrified Wood Bowl

Each of these bowls began as a tree in the forests of Indonesia, buried under volcanic sediment and slowly turned to stone over millennia. Through permineralization, the wood fossilized into dense, earthen-hued rock ¡ª so every piece carries its own rings, mineral streaks, and a surprising, solid weight in the hand. Hand-finished to be sculptural and useful at once, it's as at home holding keys by the door as it is catching light on a coffee table.

Because each is a one-of-a-kind natural formation, size, shape, and color vary from piece to piece ¡ª no two are alike.
